(NYSE: BPI), a provider of post-secondary education services focused on providing higher access to higher education, announced today that University of the Rockies, a graduate school specializing in psychology programs at the master's and doctoral levels, has added a new certificate program in Criminology and Justice Studies.
The Criminology and Justice Studies Certificate program is one of four available, in addition to those in General Psychology, Business Psychology and Organizational Leadership. These 15-credit programs, offered both on campus and online at University of the Rockies, provide students with an opportunity to enhance their resumes.
Students can use the Graduate Certificate in Criminology and Justice Studies to bolster their qualifications for positions in law enforcement, corrections, probation/parole, juvenile justice or military police.
"The University of the Rockies is pleased to add this new Graduate Certificate in Criminology and Justice Studies to our list of Certificates available to prospective students," said Dr. Stephen Kirkpatrick, dean of the School of Organizational Leadership at the University of the Rockies.
"This new Certificate will provide an avenue for both improving an individual's career qualifications and taking significant steps toward earning a Master of Arts degree," he added.
Provided they fill out an application and meet all requirements, students may apply all of the credits they earn in the Graduate Certificate program toward earning a master's degree in Psychology from the University of the Rockies. The certificate applicant must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally credited institution or the proper equivalent. Certificates do not confer any type of degree or eligibility for licensure.
