Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), a provider of postsecondary education services focused on providing higher access to higher education, has announced plans to open a new location in Denver, Colo. When it opens, the Bridgepoint Education office expects to bring more than 500 new jobs to the Denver area.
Bridgepoint Education plans to occupy office space located in downtown Denver. The office space is expected to be used to support student services for Bridgepoint Education's universities, Ashford University and University of the Rockies.

"Not only do we believe that Bridgepoint Education will make a significant financial impact on Denver in terms of added jobs and tax revenue, but we also intend to be responsible corporate citizens and have a positive influence on Denver, just as we have in the communities of our other locations."
The Denver location would add to Bridgepoint Education's current facilities now operating in four states. The company also has locations in San Diego, Calif., Colorado Springs, Colo., Clinton, Iowa, and Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
