Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI) has announced plans for the Sixth Annual Bridgepoint Education Golf Invitational to be held on Monday, September 30, at the La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. The event will serve as a fundraiser for Rady Children’s Hospital.

“Rady Children’s Hospital has become an important institution in San Diego, and Bridgepoint Education is pleased to support the hospital’s efforts to care for sick and injured children,” said Andrew Clark, chief executive officer at Bridgepoint Education. “The Bridgepoint Education Golf Invitational provides an opportunity for members of the San Diego community to help the hospital fulfill its mission.”

Rady Children’s Hospital is a medical facility in San Diego that provides services to some of the most vulnerable members of the community. Since it opened in 1954, the hospital has treated nearly two million sick and injured children. It is San Diego County’s only hospital dedicated exclusively to pediatric care.

In previous years, the Bridgepoint Education Golf Invitational has raised more than $50,000 for Rady Children’s Hospital. In addition, the hospital was the $57,000 beneficiary of last

December’s Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl. The goal is to raise an additional $25,000 for the hospital through this year’s golf tournament.
