Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI) will be hosting the Seventh Annual Bridgepoint Education Golf Invitational on Monday, September 29, at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. The event will serve as a fundraiser for Rady Children’s Hospital.
“Rady Children’s Hospital is an important institution in San Diego and Bridgepoint Education is pleased to continue supporting the hospital’s efforts to care for sick and injured children,” said Andrew Clark, chief executive officer at Bridgepoint Education. “The Bridgepoint Education Golf Invitational provides an opportunity for members of the San Diego community to help the hospital fulfill its mission.”
Rady Children’s Hospital is a medical facility in San Diego that provides services to some of the most vulnerable members of the community. Since it opened in 1954, the hospital has treated nearly two million sick and injured children. It is San Diego County’s only hospital dedicated exclusively to pediatric care.
In past years, the Bridgepoint Education Golf Invitational has raised more than $75,000 for Rady Children’s Hospital, including $25,000 raised at last year’s event. The goal in 2014 is to match last year’s total and donate another $25,000 to the hospital.
