Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI) hosted a recognition ceremony on April 4 to honor 39 employees who received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from President Barack Obama. The honorees included employees from Bridgepoint Education and its two academic institutions, Ashford University and University of the Rockies.

To receive the award, employees had to donate more than 100 hours to community service efforts during 2015.
“Bridgepoint Education’s community service efforts have always been successful because of the generous support of our employees,” said Andrew Clark, president and chief executive officer for Bridgepoint Education. “Over the years, employees at Bridgepoint Education, Ashford University, and University of the Rockies have committed their time and effort in giving back to the communities they serve.”
