Dr. Kristina Powers, associate vice president of institutional research services at Bridgepoint Education, has been selected as a Student Achievement Research Fellow by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
“This is a great recognition of Dr. Powers’ expertise and credibility in the institutional research community,” said Vickie Schray, senior vice president of regulatory affairs & public policy for Bridgepoint Education. “Her appointment strengthens our organization’s position as a thought leader in this area.”
As the WSCUC research fellow, Dr. Powers will work directly with WSCUC staff and member institutions to help further develop the Graduation Rate Dashboard (GRD) and utilize current data to better track student success and institutional effectiveness.
“I couldn’t be more excited to represent Bridgepoint and our universities as a leader in institutional research, be recognized by WSCUC, and most importantly, help advance the conversation about how to measure student success,” said Dr. Powers. “With nearly 200 institutions in the WSCUC region, this is a significant opportunity to contribute to the national dialogue about student success.”
WSCUC is one of six regional associations recognized by the U.S. Department of Education that accredits public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States. For more information on WSCUC, visit www.wascsenior.org.
