Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), a provider of postsecondary education services focused on providing higher access to higher education, has announced the appointment of Marisa Stoltzfus to the position of vice president of culture and engagement. Stoltzfus will be reporting directly to Marc Brown, Bridgepoint’s senior vice president/chief human resource officer.
“Marisa’s role will entail working with executive, presidential, and senior leadership in creating a strategic culture roadmap that will continue on to Bridgepoint’s current Great Place to Work initiative,” said Brown. “Her expertise in organizational development, human resources, and organizational cultural effectiveness is a great asset to Bridgepoint Education and its universities.”
Throughout her career, Stoltzfus has held a series of organizational development, leadership development, and executive coaching positions across a multitude of industries. Prior to joining Bridgepoint, Stoltzfus served as partner, talent development and former executive culture consultant for Great Place to Work®. She has been working as a consultant to Bridgepoint since the Great Place To Work initiative began in 2015. From 2005 to 2011, she served as the HR project consultant within employee relations for Highmark, Inc. In addition, since 2010, Stoltzfus has been an adjunct faculty member at Elizabethtown College, School of Continuing and Professional Studies, teaching in the accelerated adult degree program.
Stoltzfus’ education includes two bachelor’s degrees, one in communications and one in fine arts, from East Stroudsburg University. She also holds a master’s degree in psychology from Alvernia College, as well as multiple certifications in a variety of subjects, including change management, coaching, facilitation, and performance instruction.
