CHANDLER, Ariz., March 5, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Zovio (Nasdaq: ZVO), an education technology services company, announced today that Learn@Forbes and Fullstack Academy, which are part of the Zovio network, will provide 30 scholarships to incarcerated women engaged by Televerde. Through their partnership with the State of Arizona, Televerde provides these women with the professional skills and resources they need to successfully re-enter society as leaders, caregivers, innovators and business professionals.

Learn@Forbes offers online courses, specializations and micro-certifications in business, human resources, marketing, personal development, technology, plus leadership, and will provide 20 scholarships.

Fullstack Academy, which is an award-winning bootcamp, is known for the Grace Hopper Program, whose mission is to close the gender gap in engineering jobs and provide accessible education for women with no upfront tuition cost. They are donating 10 scholarships to Introduction to Coding.

The scholarships will benefit incarcerated women at the Arizona State Prison Complex – Perryville who are active participants in the Televerde prison to workforce development program. Since 1994, Televerde has been investing in incarcerated women to give them a fair chance to better their lives.
The women are trained in business acumen and sales and marketing, and are certified in the most current technologies on the market. This level of knowledge and on-the-job experience enables them to secure highly competitive career positions upon release. In fact, seven of Televerde's 10 engagement centers are staffed by incarcerated women, representing 70 percent of the company's 600+ global workforce.
