Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), a provider of post secondary education services, today announced that data about its academic institutions - Ashford University and University of the Rockies - is now available online at www.collegechoicesforadults.org.

Ashford University offers graduate and undergraduate degree programs online and on campus in Clinton, Iowa. University of the Rockies is a graduate school specializing in psychology programs at the master's and doctoral levels. Classes are offered online and at the Colorado Springs, Colo. campus.

Transparency by Design, a consortium of accredited colleges and universities aimed at providing adult learners with better information in choosing a degree-granting, distance education, launched the College Choices for Adults Web site in August 2009.

The Web site offers adult learners information on program-level learning outcomes, how outcomes are measured and how students performed on these measures. Adult learners also have access to student satisfaction ratings and other data on each member institution participating in the initiative.

Over the next year, the College Choices for Adults Web site is expected to grow, adding new institutions and new features to assist adult learners in making critical decisions about their higher education options.

"On behalf of our academic institutions, we are pleased to be collaborating with members of the Transparency by Design consortium. This partnership raises the bar and takes us to new levels of accountability," Bridgepoint Education Sr. Vice President, Chief Academic Officer Dr. Jane McAuliffe, said. "This initiative enables potential students to make more informed decisions about their educational experience."

Transparency by Design is funded by a grant from Lumina Foundation for Education and by contributions from each of the member institutions. Lumina Foundation for Education is committed to enrolling and graduating more students from college - especially low-income students, students of color, first-generation students and adult learners. The organization's goal is to increase the percentage of Americans who hold high-quality degrees and credentials to 60 percent by the year 2025.
