Bridgepoint Education Employees Volunteer to Clean Up the Beach

Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), a provider of postsecondary education services focused on providing higher access to higher education, has put out a call for its employees to head to the beach on Saturday, Oct. 30, and more than 400 of those employees have answered.

Working in tandem with San Diego Coastkeeper, hundreds of Bridgepoint Education employees will descend upon San Diego’s Mission Beach to participate in cleanup activities throughout the area. Working from the sand to the street, beach and bay-front volunteer teams will remove litter from public venues. This significant effort will also serve to kick off the first Bridgepoint Education Heroes Day.

“Our employees’ response to this beach cleanup was huge – over 400 people signed up in advance.” stated Jennifer Love Bruce, Bridgepoint Education’s director of community relations. “This is a great opportunity for our company to take an active part in keeping San Diego’s coastline beautiful.”
