University of the Rockies' New Master of Arts in Human Services Fuels Careers in Service Agency Management
Degree provides essential skills for the oversight of critical, chronic and crisis needs providers

University of the Rockies, a graduate school owned by Bridgepoint Education (NYSE: BPI), a provider of postsecondary education services focused on providing higher access to higher education, has introduced a new Master's degree in Human Services and is now accepting applications.

Many different types of human services are delivered by local, regional and national agencies, as well as by non-profits and non-governmental organizations. While care providers have a clear path for training and career actualization, the personnel necessary for the administration and guidance of these workplaces are still in demand.

"This new M.A. in Human Services is tailored to those who answer a calling to help other people in need. Our curriculum will prepare graduates to compete for managerial and leadership positions in human services agencies," said Dr. Stephen Kirkpatrick, dean of the School of Organizational Leadership and vice president for Publishing at University of the Rockies. "The program design targets both academic preparation and practical application in the human services workplace."

Designed to prepare students for careers overseeing the function of human services operations in government, non-profit and private sectors, the Master of Arts in Human Services also has two specific tracks within the degree, offering specializations in Mental Health Administration and Not-for-Profit Management.

University of the Rockies' Master of Arts in Human Services is available online and at the Colorado Springs, Colo. campus. This degree does not lead to licensure or certification of any kind.
