Eight Community and Regional Colleges Establish Articulation Agreements with Ashford University
Two-year colleges enhance student options with Ashford agreements

In the second quarter of 2011, Ashford University formed new articulation agreements with eight community and regional colleges. The agreements provide a clear path for graduates of these schools to transfer up to 90 credits toward a four-year Ashford degree.

Ashford University, an academic institution owned by Bridgepoint Education (NYSE: BPI), is joined in these articulation agreements by College of the Desert in California; Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, California; Florence-Darlington Technical College in South Carolina; Heald College in California, Oregon and Hawaii; the Iowa Valley Community College District in Iowa; Oakton Community College in Illinois; Trumbull Business College in Warren, Ohio; and Victor Valley College in Novato, California.

“Ashford University’s new articulation agreements will be a great benefit to all schools involved,” stated Mark K. Young, Ashford’s director of academic partnerships. “With the opportunity for a four-year Ashford degree, the students of these two-year schools can begin their advanced education locally, and finish at a fine four-year school.”

These articulation agreements formally recognize that Ashford University and College of the Desert, Crafton Hills College, Florence-Darlington Technical College, Heald College, the Iowa Valley Community College District, Oakton Community College, Trumbull Business College and Victor Valley College are active educational collaborators, committed to improving educational opportunities and services for students transferring between institutions.
