Bridgepoint Education Gives San Diego's Marshall Elementary School Its First Makeover in 20 Years
Teachers, students and staff will be pleasantly surprised Monday morning

Marshall Elementary is getting an extreme school makeover this weekend thanks to Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), a provider of post-secondary education services. Armed with paint brushes, paint, ladders and smiles, nearly 500 Bridgepoint employees will gather at the school on Saturday, October 29 at 8:30 a.m. to help the revitalization effort.

“This is a great opportunity for our company and employees to give back to the community, covering two of our primary social responsibility focus areas: education and youth,” said Jennifer Love Bruce, Bridgepoint Education’s director of community relations. “We are really excited to make a difference in the lives of these students. They are in for a big surprise Monday morning.”

Working with United We Paint, Bridgepoint Education is providing all of the paint, ladders, supplies and volunteers to help create a more inviting learning environment for the students, teachers and staff of Marshall Elementary. The elementary school, located at 3550 Altadena Ave. in Chollas Creek, has not received a complete makeover in nearly two decades.

Volunteers will spend the morning prepping the buildings for painting. Once that is complete, they will paint the school.
