Mobile and Modern Learning Experts from Bridgepoint Education and Ashford University Present at Sloan-C Conference on Online Learning
Bridgepoint and Ashford staffers explore details of online education, development and strategy

Attendees of the 2011 Sloan Consortium International Conference on Online Learning will be treated to a tour de force of online teaching, learning and publishing knowledge. Experts from Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI) and Ashford University will be anchoring several Sloan-C presentations, speaking at sessions with topics ranging from university publishing to online faculty and mobile app development.

Representatives from Bridgepoint’s Learning Resources and Publishing department (LRP) are slated for three different presentations. Mireille Yanow, sponsoring editor; Peter Galuardi, director of Editorial Technology, and Erik Evans, associate vice president and editor-in-chief, will join forces for “Twenty-First Century Textbooks: Online Textbooks for Online Learners” on Wednesday, November 9. Fairlight Lower, manager of Learning Technologies & Resources, will present a session titled “Talon: Mobile Strategy Engages Faculty and Non-Traditional Students” on Thursday afternoon, November 10, and Evans will represent Bridgepoint on Friday, November 11, in an extended discussion called “Reinventing the University Press for Electronic Course Materials.” 

In conjunction with LRP’s appearances, Ashford University executive dean Andrew Shean and provost Rebecca Wardlow will speak at "Online Faculty Evaluation and Mentoring" on Wednesday, November 9, and will also take part in a session titled “Online Professional Development” late in the morning on Friday, November 11.
