Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI) will welcome the Baylor University Bears and the UCLA Bruins to San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium for tonight’s 35th annual Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl. The game kicks off at 6:45 p.m. P.S.T. and will be nationally televised live on ESPN.

Bridgepoint Education will donate one dollar for each Holiday Bowl ticket sold to Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego. The non-profit pediatric care facility is the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated to pediatric healthcare, and the region’s only designated pediatric trauma center. Since opening in 1954, Rady Children’s Hospital has treated nearly two million sick and injured children.
Prior to the game, the parking lot at Qualcomm Stadium will host the Slater’s 50/50 EndZoner’s Tailgate Party. This event offers an all-you-can-eat burger buffet, drinks and live musical entertainment from 4:15-6:15 p.m. Attendance is limited to those 21 years or older and tickets are available at the door for $30.00.
The Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade launches a day of Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl festivities at 10:00 a.m. in downtown San Diego. The parade begins with the finals of the 16th annual Weinerschnitzel Wiener Nationals and the 17th annual Holiday Bowl 5K. Then, the scenic bayside streets will come alive with world-class marching bands, magnificent floats, entertaining drill teams, and a procession of enormous balloons.
Preceding tonight’s game is a pre-game show spectacular complete with marching bands, parachute jumpers from the Navy Leap Frogs, and the always spectacular 45,000 square foot field-size American flag.
