Bridgepoint Education Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Jane McAuliffe Elected to APSCU Board of Directors
Dr. McAuliffe seeks to build consensus among proprietary academic institutions

Dr. Jane McAuliffe, executive vice president and chief academic officer at Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), has been selected to join the Board of Directors for the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU). Dr. McAuliffe was elected to a three-year term as an Education Director.

APSCU is a voluntary membership organization made up of private, postsecondary schools, institutes, colleges, and universities. Members provide a full range of higher education programs and degrees, and educate and support over three million students each year. Bridgepoint Education and its two academic institutions, Ashford University and University of the Rockies, are affiliated with APSCU.

As a member of the Board, Dr. McAuliffe will support APSCU’s mission to promote and defend the critical role that private sector postsecondary education plays in America. By providing educational opportunities to non-traditional students, such as active-duty service members, parents, and working adults, the organization strives to improve the nation’s workforce.

“I am proud to be a part of a proprietary academic institution and I believe in our sector’s ability to make higher education accessible to a wide range of students,” Dr. McAuliffe said. “APSCU works to promote the successes of proprietary institutions and I look forward to contributing to their mission as an APSCU Education Director.”
