More than 300 employees, faculty members, and staff from Bridgepoint Education and Ashford University – one of Bridgepoint’s academic institutions – are expected to spend tomorrow morning, Sept. 14, beautifying San Diego’s Balboa Park. The effort to tidy up the city’s special historic landmark is part of the organization’s “Heroes Day,” a biannual employee volunteer event.
“At Bridgepoint, giving back to the community is an integral part of who we are. Each year, our organization continues to make a big impact on the communities we serve because of the volunteer efforts of our great employees,” said Andrew Clark, chief executive officer at Bridgepoint Education. “We are happy to partner with I Love a Clean San Diego to help improve one of the city’s most treasured landmarks.”
Visited by thousands of people from around the world each year, Balboa Park is a 1,200-acre urban cultural park located in the city’s Uptown District. It is known for its beautiful open areas, natural vegetation, gardens, museums, and the world famous San Diego Zoo.
