More Than 20 Colleges Adopt Thuze eTextbooks for Fall 2013
Thuze eTextbooks will be offered to students for $35

Thuze eTextbooks have been adopted by faculty at more than 20 higher education institutions located throughout the United States and Canada, including Alliant International University; Auburn University; SUNY Buffalo State; California State University, Northridge; College of Charleston; Georgia State University; Georgia Institute of Technology; Gonzaga University; Hope College; Indiana University Bloomington; Ithaca College; John Brown University; Los Angeles Valley College; Metropolitan College of New York; New Jersey City University; Oakton Community College; University of Alberta; University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; University of North Carolina at Greensboro; University of Wisconsin-La Crosse; William Paterson University; Mount Royal University; and Columbia College Chicago. Thuze eTextbook titles used in these universities and colleges range from gen-ed and business, to the social sciences and education.

Thuze, launched by Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI) in 2012, offers students flexibility in viewing instructional content in an eTextbook format, which allows students to study at any time and in any place on their mobile devices. All of the 100-plus Thuze eTextbooks have been written and vetted by respected academics with interactive, online reading in mind.

“We are delighted that so many faculty at such a diverse set of institutions want to experiment with digital textbooks. We know that, from a student perspective, the economics of textbooks are unsustainable and that Thuze’s combination of quality, readability, interactivity, and price offer a completely new option for faculty,” said Andrew McCann, vice president of Business Development at Bridgepoint Education. “These individual successes set the stage for institutions to consider our disruptive eTextbook pilot program, which we’re launching this fall to bring our entire library of titles to institutions for one low cost.”
