Bridgepoint Education's Ashford University and Cox Communications Award Homefront Heroes Scholarships to Military Spouses
Five military spouses receive education scholarships covering tuition and books

Ashford University, in partnership with Cox Communications, awarded Homefront Heroes Scholarships to five military spouses in San Diego County. The Homefront Heroes Scholarship recognizes the strength and support military spouses provide our nation’s service members. The scholarship covers tuition and books to help partners of military men and women complete their education.

The 2013 Homefront Heroes scholarship recipients are Paige Solis, Erin Beeman, Tracy Bernal, Amber Engle, and Monique Morales. The scholarship winners were selected from a pool of applicants who each submitted an essay on being “married to the military” and how the scholarship would enhance their future.

Ashford University, an educational institution owned by Bridgepoint Education, created the Homefront Heroes Scholarship program four years ago to honor the spouses of American service members. The program aligns with Bridgepoint Education’s social responsibility mission, which focuses on education, youth, and the military.
