Mike Stansbury, an Information Technology (IT) professional with more than 20 years of experience, has been named Vice President of Risk Management for Bridgepoint Education. Stansbury will assume responsibility for the overall safety and security of Bridgepoint’s intellectual property and technical assets. He will report to Senior Vice President/Chief Information Officer, Thomas Ashbrook.

Prior to joining the Bridgepoint team, Stansbury was a Senior IT Security Consultant for Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), in San Diego, CA. He also served in various management roles to include Vice President of IT Risk Management for Fremont Investment & Loan and Vice President of IT for First American Default Technologies.
Stansbury received certification in Advanced Computer Engineering from the University of California in Irvine, CA. He earned his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University in Orange, CA, and his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida, in Orlando, FL. Stansbury is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Compliance Association, Information Systems Security Association, IT Service Management Foundation, Project Management Institute, Orange County Executives and Networkers, and CIO Exchange.
